About our Leaders and Choreographers:

MARCELO MARIANOFF was born in Cordoba, Argentina and from a young age, he displayed a passion for dance. His journey in Israeli dance began at the age of 5 and over the years, he honed his skills through classes and workshops in Israel, Peru, and England. Marcelo's dedication led him to represent Argentina at the Carmel Festival in Israel when he was just 20 years old, where he deepened his understanding of Israeli dance. Fluent in Spanish, English and Hebrew, Marcelo's linguistic abilities have facilitated his global journey as a dancer, instructor and stage choreographer. Alongside his wife Mica and their two children, Gali and Isaias, Marcelo has lived in various countries, including Israel, Peru and England, enriching his experiences and broadening his cultural perspectives. For two years, Marcelo served as the Project Development Manager and Dance Sheliach for the Israeli Dance Institute in London, as well as fulfilling Shlichut duties in Lima, Peru. Marcelo has proudly served as the Rosh Rikud at Camp Yavneh Summer Camp in New Hampshire for the past 13 years. Since 2020, he has embraced online teaching to reach students from numerous countries, spreading his love for Israeli dance and fostering connections worldwide. Marcelo's expertise extends beyond teaching; he is also a skilled choreographer, blending elements of ballet, modern and contemporary dance into his Israeli dance repertoire. His passion for sharing the joy of dance has taken him to workshops, camps and festivals in Argentina, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, USA, England, France, Netherland, Switzerland, Turkey, Finland, Russia, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Israel. Marcelo Marianoff's dedication, passion and perseverance to Israeli dance has not only made him a respected instructor and choreographer but also a cultural ambassador, bridging communities and spreading the vibrancy of dance across borders, languages and communities.

YUVAL TABASHI was born is Israel and began his dance career with the dance troupe of his school, after he fell in love with one of the girls in the troupe. There Yuval discovered his love for dance, music and stage and he decided to include dance in his path in life. At age 15, Yuval began to create dances for the stage and became a leader of dance troupes of children and youth. He later danced in dance troupes of the choreographers Shlomo Maman and Karmon. He constantly appeared in numerous performances and festivals in Israel and abroad. He did his military service as a combat medic in the artillery corps. After completing his military service, he studied and graduated with honors from the dance department (Choreography and Israeli dance) of the “Jerusalem academy of music and dance”. In 2009/2011, he was artistic director of the “Israeli dance institute” in London and choreographer for the dance company of the Jewish community of England - “The Oranim Dance Troupe”. Between the years 2013-2016, he was an assistant to the choreographer Shlomo Maman, from whom he learned a great deal about professional work with dance companies, production of performances and the creation of folk dances. In 2019 his dance "Libi" won the best dance award in the Israeli dance awards ceremony in Karmiel Festival. Yuval works with dance companies in Israel and abroad, produces shows and also teaches and creates folk dances in many seminars around Israel and abroad.
